Peter's Farm

Peter's Farm is located in Holland where calves live in herds. They have the freedom to choose for themselves when and how much they wish to eat and whether they wish to walk, stand, lie down, play or sleep.

The Agricultural University of Wageningen has studied the natural behaviour of calves in a scientific research on a Peter's Farm. The conclusion of this research is that the calves on a Peter's Farm are held under much friendlier welfare conditions than calves in other systems.

The Dutch Society for the Protection of Animals is very positive about Peter's Farm development and looks forward to the further development of the system. The environment at a Peter's Farm is not to be found in any other system because of the calves freedom to decide for themselves how they fill their day.
